CODE OF CONDUCT
Part 1 - Volunteer Agreement
The Blackbushe Heritage Trust (BHT) continues to evolve since our formation in April 2022. Within just 12 months Vagabond was repatriated to Blackbushe where significant progress has already been made on the journey to full restoration. You are part of a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly, each tasked with different roles and responsibilities, whether in engineering, events, fundraising, social media, community engagement or archiving.
As such, your support to the organisation is critical, without which the BHT would cease to exist. We will do the best we can to make your volunteering experience with us as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
We ask all our volunteers to sign an informal agreement as part of our volunteering process.
I agree:
· To help BHT to fulfil its aims.
· To perform my volunteering role to the best of my ability.
· To follow the organisation’s standards and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, equal opportunities and inclusivity.
· To treat fellow volunteers with dignity and respect.
· To get Trustee approval before reaching out to any third parties, using the BHT logo or setting up events.
· To freely share data, photos and information gathered whilst representing BHT to Trustees and volunteers.
· To allow BHT to use any media, documents or other intellectual property produced as a volunteer without restriction in perpetuity with appropriate credit given.
· To maintain any confidential information.
· To meet time commitments agreed to, except in exceptional circumstances and give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made.
Blackbushe Heritage Trust will:
· Provide a safe environment for your volunteering.
· Provide you with an induction to the charity.
· Give you training to do your role effectively with support and feedback.
· Value and respect you.
· Recognise your contribution.
