We hope you can join us for what should be a special evening! An opportunity not only for our volunteers to get-together to celebrate our achievements during the past year, but also to hear a talk from one of a now very small number of surviving World War 2 pilots…..
Colin not only flew the Mosquito on operations in WW2, with 608 (Pathfinder) Sqn, based at Downham Market (carrying out 50 raids over Germany), he ended his full-time RAF service in 1946 flying diplomatic mail around Europe and Africa from Blackbushe! This included landings using the airfield’s well-known “FIDO” (fog dispersal) system on 3 occasions.
We expect this event to be popular, and will have the use of Aerobility’s hangar to accommodate a larger gathering for the talk. You can reserve your tickets, at £10pp here and hope you’ll be able to join us!
