We’re very pleased to have Robert coming to talk to us - it’s definitely one that shouldn’t be missed!

He flew as a pilot (fixed wing and rotary) in the Royal Air Force for 36 years, on types including the Vampire, Vulcan, Wessex, Puma and Chinook - the later as a Test Pilot which led to him being heavily involved in the campaign to clear the names of the pilots involved in the “Mull of Kintyre” accident involving Chinook ZD576 in 1994.

If that wasn’t enough, at various times in his life Robert has been a circus fire eater, motorbike racer and, after retirement from flying a polo trainer, on occasions to the rich and famous!
